Movember is a global movement to raise funds and awareness for men’s health issues—particularly mental health, suicide, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.
Did You Know?
Mental Health & Suicide…
Globally, 1 man dies by suicide every minute of every day
In Canada, 3 out of 4 suicides are by men
Improving overall mental health and helping men establish better social connections can reduce the risk of suicide
Did You Know?
Prostate Cancer…
Is the most common cancer in men over 45
Early stages often cause no issues or symptoms, so don’t hesitate to check in with your doctor even if you’re feeling fine.
Early detection is key, so know your risk factors. Risk increases if:
You are Black or have African ancestry
You have a father, brother, or uncle who’s had prostate cancer
You have a mother or sister who’s had breast or ovarian cancer
Common signs and symptoms to look out for include:
Difficulty urinating
Pain or burning while urinating
Trouble fully emptying your bladder
Aches or pains in the low back or hips
Blood in urine or semen
*Of course, these symptoms do not automatically mean cancer, but it’s a good idea to see a healthcare provider and get checked out.
Did You Know?
Testicular Cancer…
Is the #1 cancer in younger men
Is highly curable when caught early
Common testicular cancer symptoms may include:
Swelling, pain, a hard lump, a heaviness or ache
Know thy nuts! Get to know what’s normal for you so that you can detect any changes

But, you don’t need to grow a moustache to show your support. There are many ways to get involved.
