Linda Maasz BSc PT
Linda began her career in 1971 graduating from the University of Alberta with a Diploma in Physical Therapy.
Over the next several years, Linda worked in the acute care setting of public practise in Ontario and British Columbia. After returning to Edmonton in 1976, she found employment at the Edmonton General Hospital-acute care.
Linda was appointed Coordinator of Physical Therapy in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine in 1979, remaining in that position until 1984.
At that same time, she completed the degree program in Physical Therapy earning the B.Sc.P.T. in 1980.
A move to Prince Edward Island in 1984 marked a change in career direction with the opening of Linda’s first private clinic in Summerside in 1986. This clinic remains open today, although under new ownership. During this time Linda was involved with the PEI College of Physiotherapists and on numerous CPA committees.
The Maaszes moved to BC in 1990 with Linda practicing in Campbell River prior to the opening of the present Comox clinic in 1992,a practice which has grown to employ the services of three therapists.
Linda’s post-graduate interests and specialties lie in the areas of orthopaedics, chronic pain, craniosacral therapy and acupuncture.
Linda has practised craniosacral therapy since 1996; and acupuncture has been part of her treatment protocol since 1993, when the CAFCI designation was achieved. She has served on the National AFCI board since 1996 as board member, president and, at present, treasurer.
